QHacc Overview

QHacc is a reasonably small, reasonably fast, reasonably featured home accounting program for unix and unix-like systems. It was (and is) developed on a linux system, but does not rely on any linux-specific features. Therefore, though it hasn't been tested on any other systems, it should work on them. Please
mail me if you have successfully run QHacc on something besides linux.

It's probably also fair to mention that I am not an accountant. I've never written accounting software before. I started writing QHacc because I personally had problems using (heck! compiling) some of the other software packages out there. My main goals were to keep everything as simple as possible, and make the program stable. Hopefully I've succeeded at some part of that. If you happen to be an accountant, and would like to give some advice on this type of project, I'm all ears.
